Silver Pirate 490

Silver Pirate 490 is the name of the latest newbuilding at Kuhnle Werft. With a length of 4.90 metres its the smallest boat we have built so far and has neither a kitchen or a berth. Nevertheless, she will quickly become popular, the Silver Pirate 490 is designed to meet the needs of anglers. Four rod holders and a built-in small wet storage basin, comfortable bucket seats and a combination of depth sounder and chart plotter with 7 inch touch screen and plenty of space for fishing equipment, cool boxes and bait bags. With the flat bottom made of seawater-resistant aluminium, it can run aground on the beach, the robust material can sometimes take a bump without being damaged. In addition, aluminium does not rust and there is no growth on the hull, so you can do without underwater paint. The helmsman has a good overview of the fishing area and crew at all times from his stand lying with the ship. The motorisation with a 15 HP (11 kW) outboard engine means that it can be driven without a licence.

Special service: You can take over your boat at 6 p.m. and have to return it the next morning at 8.30 a.m., so you can enjoy the sunset from the boat or have the whole night time to catch zander, pike or eel.

Brandenburg Lake District

The Brandenburg Lake District is also ideal for fishing. With hundreds of designated fishing waters, choosing the right one can be a bit difficult. our fishing tips for the diferent seasons

spring

With the rising temperatures in March/April the pike begin to collect in the shallow water. The larger specimens, however, remain in deep water even longer. Trolling at the shear edges can now bring the big pike to the hook.

Zander and perch are now also to be found in the shallow water zones. On the smaller waters, the carp are slowly getting lively - spring in particular is one of the best fishing seasons.

Summer

The legendary perch hunts on the lakes Müritz and Plauer See are clearly the highlight of the summer. The perch hunt the breeding fish to the surface, where the always hungry seagulls wait for their share. So watch out for shoals of hunting seagulls that will lead you safely to the fish. Especially large perches, however, remain almost the whole year as loners in shallow water, where they feed on crabs. Also at herb fields or in the harbours one has good chances to get a perch to the fishing rod.

Autumn

The perch hunts often continue until late autumn, so keep an eye on the seagulls. As the temperature drops, the fish begin to go deeper. Especially the pike now fall into a real feeding frenzy again. Towing is now very successful.

For the carp anglers the most interesting time of the year begins now. Before the dormancy period in winter the carp are still eating a good supply. So it's time to feed and lie in wait.

Winter

Peace fishing is only worthwhile in the harbours along the big lakes. The biggest pike were and are caught in the coldest season of the year. Depending on the weather, towing from a boat or with a bait fish under the ice - the winter can bring some serious surprises. Zander and perch are now in the deeper parts of the lakes.
